My First Lent – Day 18 – Not So Empty Hands

You Can't Reach For Anything New If Your Hands Are Still Full Of Yesterday's Junk. [QuotePix.com]

I saw this quotation today as I was researching the topic of forgiveness. My Life Coach got me really thinking about the topic when I saw her a few weeks ago.

“You can’t reach for anything new if your hands are still full of yesterday’s junk.” – Louise Smith

I don’t even know much about the person the quotation is attributed to. I just know that statement resonated with me – especially with that whole Empty Hands motif that keeps popping into my life. (Part 1, Part 2)

There will be more to this thought process, I assure you.

Enjoy your weekend!

Don’t forget to turn your clocks an hour ahead here in the states (well, at least in the 48 states that observe it – I don’t know how you people in Arizona figure out that DST mess). Daylight Savings Time is upon us again.
